MRCE-Dispolok ES64U2 series |
Since 2000, the ES64U2 type multi purpose locomotive has become one of the most important representatives of Dispolok GmbH, a Siemens Transportation Systems subsidiary making it possible for all rail operators to hire or lease modern locomotives for a certain period of time. In 2006 Dispolok, including its fleet, was sold to Mitsui, a leasing company from Japan. Now 60 yellow and silver painted machines are running for various customers in central and eastern Europe. Different sub series are being created by applying country specific equipment, like safety and signalling systems, different pantographs and remote control. This section gives a detailed overview of all leasing contracts, sub types and liveries applied.

Dispolok designation: |
| ES 64 U2 001-042, 060-069, 080-082, 095-099 |
From 2000 to 2004 Siemens gradually delivered 61 different locomotives that were/are part of the Dispolok fleet, being built in Munchen-Allach and the OBB work shops in Linz, Austria. Dispolok ES64U2 locomotives can be homologated for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Rumania, Bulgaria and Turkey. |

[SE] Hector Rail purchases MRCE ES 64 U2-002 and 004 (and 42 coaches from the Netherlands)

|
update 2013|03|27
[SE] Hector Rail purchases MRCE ES 64 U2-002 and 004 (and 42 coaches from the Netherlands)
Friday next week, Hector Rail will get two more ES 64 U2 locomotives delivered from MRCE: ES 64 U2-002 and 004 will be handed over to the Swedish operator. The future 242.502 will get the name 'Zurg', unit 504 will be 'Mr Potato Head'. One of these machines will go to Sweden, one will stay in Germany. 242.516 will transfer to Sweden. - Hector Rail / PT
With these machines, Hector Rail will own seven such machines. Yesterday, Hector Rail published the news about its purchase of 42 passenger coaches from the Netherlands. It is clear, Hector Rail widens its scope. The operator from Sweden is predominantly active in freight traffic, but also provides traction for Veolia passenger trains in Sweden. Now it takes this last activity one step further:
Hector Rail buys 42 passenger coaches for 200 km/h: Since 2007 Hector Rail provides traction for passenger trains in Sweden. Hector Rail has in recent years invested in seven locomotives approved for up to 230 km/h. More and more service providers are exploring opportunities in the fully liberalized Swedish rail passenger market. Hector Rail has decided to extend its offering from traction only to whole train sets approved for 200 km/h. Used coaches purchased in Holland can be upgraded according to a service provider’s requirements.
Hector Rail will not enter the rail passenger market itself. The intention is to offer a complete train system to a service provider who is interested in not only creating a cost-effective, but also a fast and comfortable travel market offering. The technical standard and interior can be adapted on the targeted passenger market segments.
Railcolor: The coaches mentioned must be the former Bm235's of the German railways. From 2001 until 2009 they were used as type ICK by the Dutch railways, at that moment suffering from rolling stock shortage. For this purpose 150 coaches were bought and rebuilt. Most of these coaches are currently parked at Nijmegen (NL).

update 2011|11|29
[DE] history: ES 64 U2-019 running for EBG - 09.2002
Lately we got some 'historical' ES 64 U2 pictures. Time to catch up with some recent history lessons.

For only two months, ES64U2-019 was operated by EBG. At the end of 2002 the EBG, like the WAB property of L.Guttwein, was responsible for hauling the night services between Berlijn and Malmo, operated by GVG Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH. The EBG therefore rented a ES 64 U2 locomotive. Before the 019 with EBG logos arrived, the ES64U2 005 (leased from Rail4Chem) was used to haul the night trains. Per 11.2002 the contract between GVG and EBG ended and GVG decided to haul the trains themselves and therefore bought some used locos (former DB Baureihe 109) from Bombardier.
At that time, the 019 had the standard Dispolok design. The 019 was the last Dispolok ES 64 U2 with a old-style LZB-number (1116 719). Also it was the first Dispolok locomotive that no longer carried the brand-name KraussMaffei.

[DE] history: ES 64 U2 locomotives hauling the Flensburg Express (FLEX) - 12.2002
|
|
|
|
update 2011|11|29
[DE] history: ES 64 U2 locomotives hauling the Flensburg Express (FLEX) - 12.2002

On 15.12.2002 the German Railways decided, despite many protests, to terminate all InterRegio services. Some were upgraded to InterCity or even ICE services, but many were simply deleted. This offered new opportunities for open access operators. The Norddeutsche Nahverkehrsgesellschaft (NNVG) for example founded Flex AG, that started the Flensburg Express (FLEX) on the Flensburg-Hamburg connection.
Services started on 15.12.2002. FLEX hired five Dispolok locomotives (ES 64 U2-019, -021, -023, -098 and -099) and bought several InterRegio coaches from the DB. These were modernized and repainted in the orange/grey FLEX-livery. Locomotive ES 64 U2-099 served as spare.
But it did not last long. On 12.08.2003, FLEX AG went bankrupt. In September the Nord-Ostsee-Bahn (NOB) took over the service, renamed as Flensburg Express. In September-December 2003, all Dispolok locomotives were returned to Siemens. They were replaced by Connex locomotives 185 515 and 516 and Dispolok 1116 063 and 064.Before these locos arrived a lot of other units helped out on the Flensburg Express. The KEG was there to assist the with the ES64U2 025 and also the ES64U2 080 in CargoServ design was used. In March 2004 the new ES 64 U2-034 and -035 replaced 1116 063 and 064.

On 11.12.2005, the DB took over again with the Schleswig-Holstein-Express (SCHLEX).

[SE] Hector Rail 242 series, an update
At this moment, MRCE Dispolok has officially sold four ES 64 U2 series locomotives to Swedish operator Hector Rail. Number five is soon to come. The future 242 series locomotives are in various stages of rebranding and refitting for their new owner.
Last week Hector Rail published the news that it has been contracted by Veolia to haul their Stockholm and Malmö-services (and some special trains winter resort areas in Northern Sweden) for the next five years. Hector Rail also states that it will provide locomotives with a vmax of 200 kph from this fall.
Hector Rail owns two types of locomotives that could deliver, when adjusted and approved; the 141 series (ex OBB 1012) and the recently purchased ES 64 U2s (soon to be the new 242 series). Three 242s will be available for the Veolia contract. The current status, afawk:

Today, ES 64 U2-072 made its first trial run after its refit with a Bosporus-package. The locomotive, formerly known as ES 64 U2-040 still has its CargoServ livery. As the CargoServ service to Citadelle in Italy is paused until 01.09.2008, the Austrian company could miss out on the 040 for some weeks. - GA Update: nevertheless, now ES 64 U2-061 is in service of CargoServ to help out while the 040/072 is away.

MRCE Dispolok ES 64 U2-066 changed its appearance. Still being painted in yellow and silver, the machine got new creme and blue colored vinyls. However some details are different when you compare it to other machines running in the WLB corporate colours, like ES 64 U2-064 for example. 'Siemens' and 'www.dispolok.com' inscriptions are missing, and next to WLB logo now the name of the freight division of the WLB is mentioned; Wiener Lokalbahnen Cargo GmbH. - GA

|
update 2008|05|13
[DE] MRCE corporate identity: ES64U2 026 and ER20 005/008
In the upcoming time, this will be a frequently returning topic: MRCE Dispolok applying its latest corporate identity on its complete locomotive fleet. Up till now only ES64F4 type machines were painted in the new MRCE Dispolok colour scheme, which simply means that the machine is completely painted black, including frame and rooftop. Both fronts are then partially painted in white (mandatory for running in Holland) and red (mandatory for running in Italy) to enhance visibility. On most machines also the new MRCE Dispolok logos are applied, supported by a silvergrey bar over the total length of the machine's frame. Finally, all technical inscriptions are put on in white again.
Today however, for the first time an MRCE ES64U2 electric and two MRCE ER20 diesel-electric locomotives had their roll-out in black, in Berlin, where all machines are repainted by German company Dangelmayer. All three machines are exaclty painted as described above. For the ES64U2 machine (built for 15kV and 25kV AC voltage systems only) this is quite remarkable as this type is not able to run in the Netherlands (1,5kV DC) nor in Italy (3kV DC). Still it has white and red front-ends. MRCE is therefore very strict when it comes down to applying the corporate identity, but maybe also wants to show that it is ready for the future, where new 25kV AC-only corridors will be available all over Europe.
The machines that left Berlin today with the new MRCE look are ES64U2 026 and ER20 005 and 008. The latter one was immediately rented out to IGE Bahntouristik, and used for commercial services on the very same day. It replaces ER20 013 by IGE, which is now to Berlin for blackening. Also ES64U2 067 has arrived in Berlin.
In the next months we will try to keep up with the changes concerning the ambitious MRCE repainting plan, and with drawings we will visualize the consequences for the machines. As many ES64U2 carry customer specific logos, promotional adhesives or even complete liveries, it will be interesting how this will be combined with the new black trend. - DSO/Bahnforum/SS

[HU] two new Bosporussprinters: ES64U2 073 and 074
In the mean time, MRCE Dispolok ES64U2 041 and 042 are both being retrofitted with the Bosporus-package, which means that they get the Hungarian EVM-120 detection system, European train control system (ETCS) level 1, a third pantograph with 1600 mm wide contacts and a software update. ES64U2 042 is finished already and is since last week in service again as ES64U2 074. The 041 is still in the Északi workshops (and not in Budapest Ferencváros where all previous Bosporusspinters have been refitted) where it will become ES64U2 073. This renumbering suggests however that another three machines will get the same treatment, but up till now its unknown which machines will become ES64U2 070-072. [NL] [DE] MRCE and MRCE Dispolok merger...
Yesterday, Mitsui published a press statement about the short term plans it has with both its MRCE and MRCE Dispolok leasing subsidiaries;
Mitsui Rail Capital Europe B.V. in Amsterdam (MRCE) and Dispolok GmbH in Munich (Dispolok) will
take an important step in integrating their locomotive leasing operations as of April 1, 2008.
MRCE successfully established in October 2004 as a subsidiary of Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (Mitsui) for
locomotive leasing operation in Europe, and Dispolok, acquired by Mitsui in October 2006, will
integrate their operations to create one of the largest European locomotive operating lessors and
service providers with more than 200 locomotives already delivered to customers in more than 10
countries in Europe.
The integration will comprise a transfer of all leasing operations to Munich, which will be renamed
MRCE Dispolok GmbH (MRCE Dispolok), and a concentration of all corporate operations in
Amsterdam, which will continue to carry the name of Mitsui Rail Capital Europe B.V.
All day-to-day locomotive lease operations including sales & marketing, fleet management, logistics
management and service & maintenance management for the entire fleet of MRCE and MRCE
Dispolok will be centralized in Munich, while the marketing and technology strategy & development,
business administration, financing and budgeting, locomotive procurement and ownership will be
homed in Amsterdam. Current MRCE sales staff will be operationally assigned to MRCE Dispolok
but physically remain in Amsterdam to be closer to core customers in North & Western Europe. All
shares of Mitsui in Dispolok will be transferred to MRCE. A new corporate identity and logo design
will be introduced including the unification of the entire fleet to a black color scheme.
This integration is to combine the industrial and financial strength of MRCE and Dispolok and to
establish the basis for further expansion and diversification.r. Miki, the current CEO of MRCE and
future Managing Director, Group CEO of MRCE explained: “The integration will be mainly driven by
using best the existing expertise and capabilities at the actual locations and we have not been
chasing a holding structure but more a vertical concentration into corporate and market functions”.
Mr. Stahl, the current President and COO of MRCE and future Managing Director, Group Marketing
& Strategy of MRCE outlined: “This will be to combine the strength of both while eliminating
weakness. We think to have created an organization which by operations has an unparalleled depth
of know-how and functions in this specific market and commit to spearhead market development to
all aspects in favor of our business partners”. Dr. Breinl, the current COO of Dispolok and future Chief Officer, Group Technology, Development of MRCE added;” We are leading ETCS development
having invested in a very promising and future oriented design and configuration for our fleet and
have started to look into a different design of locomotives”.
For the near future, MRCE will focus on the European Rail new development by supporting and
assisting privately and nationally held railways to regain transportation market shares, while
endeavoring to protect the environment, as well as to improve the efficiency of the supply of goods to
meet the growing demands of the society. In close cooperation with Mitsui, MRCE is planning to
diversify into various new business segments related to rail freight transportation.
We value your patronage and believe that this new and more focused structure will broaden and
strengthen our ability to be of service for you. We want to be on your side wherever you need us. - MRCE

The KEG has serious financial problems. Due to this all Dispolocos had to be returned to SIEMENS last week. So now the ES64U2 014, 023, 024, 025 and 095 are available again for other costumers. The ES64U2 023 went immediately to Lokomotion to replace the ES64U2 022. This loco still had its CargoServ-livery, so this can now be removed. Ofcourse, also the ES64U2 029 was in service of the KEG, but this loco is out of service since 30.01.2004 after a collision with a mini-van in Niemberg.

MRCE Dispolok ES64U2: General history |
|
Liberalisation
Liberalisation of the European rail freight transport market has created to possibility for everyone (that possesses the mandatory safety and operation permits of course), to start its own rail operation company. By permitting new operators on the various European networks, competition levels should increase and prices should drop.
Newly founded open access operators entered the market, competing with the privatized national railway operators, to profit from the increasing demand for transportation. The open access operators come from various backgrounds,, but share a common problem. They have to start small, with tight budgets, often too tight to invest in modern, expensive rolling stock right from the beginning. Next to that, an operator first has to be sure that it has gathered a number of transport contracts with customers that are such a solid base that one can economically justifies serious investments in new rolling stock.
The workshops of Linz assisted the factories in Munchen in expanding the Dispolok fleet rapidly (2004).
A leasing pool
The market for cheaper second hand vehicles was soon overloaded, inspiring Siemens to come with an interesting alternative for rail operators. Being a manufacturer they were able to set up a pool of modern electric and diesel locomotives in a relative short period. A pool of new and therefore state of the art locomotives, not for sale, but available for hire or lease to rail operators on a very flexible basis. Machines could be hired for one day, 6 months or even years, depending on the number of service contracts an operator is able to acquire. Risk of Investment is therefore being reduced.
Siemens also set up a service system for its pool locomotives. Mobile teams can service machines on location, for example during (un)loading its train. For repairs, general overhauls etc, a network of work shop was created throughout Europe. Should a machine accidentally break down, Siemens even guarantees direct replacement.
founding Dispolok GmbH
To manage its leasing and servicing activities, Siemens founded a separate subsidiary; Dispolok GmbH. The ES64U2 series is one of three successful products that Dispolok offers to its customers since 2000. It is identical to the OBB 1116 series, a versatile high performance locomotive, that can be used for both freight and passenger services. Its main service domain includes Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Hungary and it will extend further towards Eastern Europe, up to Turkey if desired.
In practice, the ES64U2 series is mainly used on domestic services in Germany and Austria, as its size and the fact that it can only run on networks with AC currency systems prevented it from becoming a real European locomotive up till now. To cover the market for genuine international and borderless rail transport Siemens first had to introduce the ES64F4 type in 2003.
Dispolok locomotives have become a well-known phenomenon in modern freight transport.
Dispolok for sale
This proved how fast the market for rail transport was changing, also affecting the position of Dispolok in the market. Independent investment companies discovered the lease market and massively invested in modern electrics and diesel locomotives. Lease companies were slowly becoming important customers for the railway industry, because they order locomotive power in large quantities. Their demands increasingly influence the innovation strategy of the industry. With its Dispolok pool, Siemens was increasingly competing with its own potential customers, so in 2006 it was decided to sell the subsidiary and to focus more on their core business again: building locomotives. Of course, the transaction was also financially attractive, raising money which can be invested in developing new products.
In October 2006, Mitsui, a leasing company originally form Japan, got permission to take over Dispolok, including the complete locomotive fleet. The deal also included an order for 50 new electrics, the first order from a leasing company for Siemens. Dispolok was positioned next to MRCE, the Mitsui subsidiary that was already active on the European market. Both companies were given a different focus. Dispolok serves customers in Austria, Italy, Poland and South East Europe, MRCE covers the other parts of Europe.
The near future
For now the position of Dispolok as independent company seems to be save. It is however questionable what will happen to its distinctive yellow and silver ES64U2 series machines. Firstly, Mitsui loves black paint, so its not unthinkable that some ES64U2s change colour very soon. We can also expect that over the years ES64U2 series machines will be sold to their operators, what already happened with several ES64F4 type machines. Then Mitsui can invest in new locomotives again.

MRCE Dispolok ES64U2: The basic livery |
|
Customers can put on their own adhesives if they want to.
Dispolok colours
All ES64U2 locomotives for Dispolok GmbH were delivered in the same distinctive bright yellow and silver livery. On the silver surfaces, customers of Dispolok can put their corporate logos and/or colours. When a customer leases or hires a machine for a period longer than seven years, it may repaint the complete locomotive if desired. The increasing use of adhesives makes it possible to quickly change the appearance of a vehicle.
Numbering
All numbers, Dispolok logos and markings applied are black. Originally Siemens planned to use OBB system service numbers for its locomotives, but in August 2001 it presented its own typology. ES64U2 refers to the technical specification, with additionally a service number, 001 up wards. At that moment 1116 902 and 902 became ES64U2 902 and 903, later on changed into ES64U2 031 and 032.
The LZB number, necessary in Germany for identification for signalling systems, of these machines was however still based on the Austrian OBB system. ES64U2 001-019 could also be identified as 1116 701-719. With the delivery of the ES64U2 020 and 095 this was also changed, as from then on German service numbers were applied. All ES64U2s since then are also known as 182 5xx series.
Other details
1116 901-903, ES64U2 001-018 and 098 were delivered with both Siemens and KraussMaffei markings, perforated in their frame ends up front and on every side. The other machines only carry the name Siemens. This changed because the manufacturer of these machines changed its name in September 2001 from Siemens-KraussMaffei to Siemens after the latter one had increased its share in the total company from 25 to 75%. This of course has to be visible on the products right away! |

service numbers 1116 901-903, ES64U2 902-903 and ES64U2 001-052
53 machines have been delivered in the basic, standard configuration, homologated for Germany and Austria only. As 1116 901 is now property of Hupac and from 2005 to 2007 ten machines have been retrofitted as Bosporus Sprinter, 42 of thise are still in service as such: ES64U2 001-042. Some change operator every day, but most machines have had only one or two employers since their delivery. TX Logistik, BoxXpress.de, Lokomotion and the WLB from Austria have become the main customers of Dispolok together operating the majority of the ES64U2 machines.
Officially one can not speak about batches, as the number of machines built was raised gradually, closely following market demand. However, based on the designation of works numbers by Siemens, following delivery scheme can be made:

ES64U2 096 with a passenger train. This machine is one of 5 locomotives with the Switzerland package.
service numbers ES64U2 095-099
After Siemens had gained experience with the ES64U2 in Switzerland after refitting the Hupac locomotives for this country, the factories in Munchen-Allach delivered five locomotives to Dispolok fleet with similar equipment: ZUB/Integra signalling systems and a third pantographs with 1450 mm wide contacts. They got service numbers in the 09x range: ES64U2 095-099. The first machine got nice little maps of Switzerland, Austria and Switzerland under its cab windows visualizing the service domain of this sub serie, but it proved to not to be that easy to combine the signalling systems of Austria and Switzerland. The Swiss Indusi magnets interfered with the Austria signalling systems so that approval for this country was not possible. In the mean time semi-permanent magnets can be applied, making cross-border services possible again. |

MRCE Dispolok ES64U2: 3 locomotives with remote control |
|
The very first locomotive with remote control was numbered ES64U2 080, note the large cabin numbers!
service numbers ES64U2 080-082
Although there has always been a very strong rumour about Siemens planning five ES64U2 locomotives with remote control (an indication could be: Siemens works number 20783 and 20784 are still unused up till today..), only three were built in 2003: ES64U2 080-082, all operated by CargoServ in Austria. Only by small distinctive features one can recognize a RC-operated machine: larger cab numbers and small blinking lights close to the head lights. |

MRCE Dispolok ES64U2: Locomotives rented from the OBB |
|
1116 065 with Dispolok markings on its way
In November 2003, pending the delivery of the fourth batch, Dispolok temporarily extended its fleet with five 1116 series locomotives rented from the Austrian OBB. Up till May 2004 1116 061-065 ran for Dispolok, decoreated with yellow and black Dispolok logos. TX Logistik and the Nord-Ostsee-Bahn were the main customers operating these five red machines.
In December 2005 and January OBB 1116 066-068 also were hired by Dispolok. At that moment OBB operated four ES64F4 machines from Dispolok which they did not want to return in December 2005, so as compensation they disposed 3 red painted 1116s to Dispolok. DB Schenker was their employer during their Dispolok period.

MRCE Dispolok ES64U2: the Bosporus Sprinter |
|
First to machines to visit Budapest were ES64U2 048 and 052, here just after completing the retrofitting.
what is changed/added?
From 2005 to 2008, ES64U2 038-052 have been retrofitted to extend their service domain towards Eastern Europe. These machines are officially nicknamed ‘Bosporus Sprinter’. They are retrofitted with the Hungarian EVM 120 signalling system, European train control system (ETCS) level 1, a third pantograph with 1600 mm wide contacts, software updates, multi language instruction markings outside, and new service numbers going up from ES64U2 060, so resulting in a new sub serie. With the mentioned modifications it is theoretically possible to operate the Bosporus Sprinter on 14 different networks systems in 11 different countries.
homologations
With the 2 standard pantographs with 1950 mm contacts the machines can run on the networks of the DB/Germany, ÖBB/Austria, MAV/Hungary, GySEV/Hungary, HZ/Croatia, CFR/Romania, ZS/Serbia and Montenegro, ZFBH/Bosnia-Hercegovina, MZ/Macedonia and OSE/Greece. The additional pantograph with 1600 mm wide contacts is required at a part of the CFR/Rumania network and for the BDZ/Bulgaria and TCDD/Turkey networks.
Actual homologation for all these networks of course requires more than just adding equipment. Trials have to be completed to measure the effect of modern three-phase electrics and their signalling systems on the intrastructure of every network. The Bosporus Sprinter is now in service in Germany, Austria, Hungary and Bulgaria. After retrofitting homologation for Germany, Austria and Hungary had to be done all over again. Per 02.2006 the Bosporus Sprinter has its permit for Germany, for Austra (06.2006) and Hungary (10.2006) it took a while longer. For Bulgaria no dates are known.
Budapest
Retrofitting was done in the MAV workshops in Budapest-Ferencvaros, Hungary. The ES64U2s were called in one by one, starting with the 048 and 052 in October 2005. It took four months to complete all modifications on these two prototypes and start homologation processes. After their first dynamic trials they were finally renumbered as ES64U2 060 and 064 and send back to Germany. An overview of machines that had a Bosporus make-over:

MRCE Dispolok ES64U2: and then they turn black |
|
From the MCRE-Dispolok press statement of 10.03.2008:
> Mitsui Rail Capital Europe B.V. in Amsterdam (MRCE) and Dispolok GmbH in Munich (Dispolok) will take an important step in integrating their locomotive leasing operations as of April 1, 2008.
The integration will comprise a transfer of all leasing operations to Munich, which will be renamed MRCE Dispolok GmbH (MRCE Dispolok), and a concentration of all corporate operations in Amsterdam, which will continue to carry the name of Mitsui Rail Capital Europe B.V. All day-to-day locomotive lease operations including sales & marketing, fleet management, logistics management and service & maintenance management for the entire fleet of MRCE and MRCE Dispolok will be centralized in Munich, while the marketing and technology strategy & development, business administration, financing and budgeting, locomotive procurement and ownership will be homed in Amsterdam. Current MRCE sales staff will be operationally assigned to MRCE Dispolok but physically remain in Amsterdam to be closer to core customers in North & Western Europe. All shares of Mitsui in Dispolok will be transferred to MRCE. A new corporate identity and logo design will be introduced including the unification of the entire fleet to a black color scheme. <
This new corporate identity was first introduced on Dispolok ES64F4 series locomotives, but in May 2008 the very first ES64U2 had its turn. By Dangelmayer in Berlin, subsequently all ES64U2s will get the new MRCE-Dispolok look; all black, including frame and rooftop. Both fronts are then partially painted in white (mandatory for running in Holland) and red (mandatory for running in Italy) to enhance visibility. On most machines also the new MRCE Dispolok logos are applied, supported by a silver-grey bar over the total length of the machine's frame. Finally, all technical inscriptions are put on in white again.

MRCE Dispolok ES64U2: Remarkable facts.. |
|
ES64U2 010 crash
In July 2003 ES64U2 010 suffered from serious damage after a shunting crash at the yard of Brennero Bhf; Its frame was torn. At the work shops of Linz it was completely disassembled, frame and body rebuilt and all parts were put back. It took until April 2004 to reinstall the 010. Per 07.05.2004 it was delivered as new.
TX logos on ES64U2 042-044 (see title picture)
The three machines in the title picture, never ran with the TX logos they're decorated with in that image. The picture was made in Munchen-Allach during a media event of TX Logistik and Siemens, and for the occasion the machines got TX logos up front and large logos on their sides. Before they left the factory gates however, they were all removed and the machines were handed over to other customers! ES64U2 042, 043 and 044 therefore never had www.dispolok.com markings up front.
ES64U2 042 visiting Holland
At the end of 2006 ES64U2 042 visited Holland for some trial runs on the new Dutch High Speed Line.
December 2003, a remarkable line-up of CargoServ affiliated locomotives. |
