In the summer of 2008, Siemens Österreich delivered three 1216 series machines, sub type B3, to Adria-Transport, a new joint venture of the harbour of Koper in Slovenia and the GKB - Graz-Köflacher Bahn from Austria. The blue-silver painted machines are numbered 1216 920-922.

 Lately, there were several reports on Adria Transport 1216 locomotives, having names. Indeed, they do, and tyou can find them in blue on the side of the cabines. This is the list:

Today Bahnforum.info gave us a little peek into the OBB workshops of Linz, where still 1216-ES64U4 platform locomotives are being built for various customers. All this under the supervision of Siemens Osterreich. At this moment 5 machines are under assembly. Two blue/silver painted machines, designated 1216 901 and 911 for Austria private operator LTE, and three machines that were not completely painted yet (however have red roof tops), that will be assigned to Adria-Transport, a new joint venture of the harbour of Koper in Slovenia and the Graz-Koflacher Bahn from Austria. Roll/out of the first LTE machine is schduled for medium March 2008. - SM/Bahnforum
