Eurocom 481
in short
order details
Eurocom Zrt was a open access operator from Hungary. It recieved two TRAXX AC2 electrics for its services, finaced by Deutsche Leasing Hungaria. They were the first TRAXX locomotives in Hungary.

The first unit, designated as 481 001 (originally planned as 185 582!), was relased from Kassel in December 2007. It was transported to Hungary in January 2008. Locomotive number two was completed in September 2008 and had its maiden run to Fulda on 12.09.2008. On 18.09.2008 it left Kassel, heading for Hungary.

481 001 and 002 were mainly used for stone transports all accross Hungary. However, in 2010, Eurocom went bankrupt. AWT Rail from Budapest, took over a considerable part of the Eurocom services, and hired both units on a irregular basis.

Deutsche Leasing Hungaria however decided to sell both locomotives, so since 2010 they were for sale via since then. After a visit to Kassel and Wegberg-Wildenrath during the summer of 2011, the 481 001 and 002 were both sold to lease company Railpool.
