 In March 2008, Ferrovie Emilia Romagna (FER) from Bologna, Italy, ordered four Traxx DC units. During the summer of 2009, the first units were outshopped for trial runs. Around August 2009 all four units were delivered to FER.
In June 2010, machines E 483.025 and 026 were sold to Sistemi Territoriali (ST), operator from Padova.

On 24.06.2010, Traxx units E 483.025 and 026 were transferred from Ferrara to Vicenza, on 25.06.2010 they arrived at the base of Sistemi Territoriali (ST), operator from Padova, that has bought both units from Ferrovie Emilia Romagna. ST plans to use the 025 and 026 for freight trains around Veneto and in the north-eastern part of Italy. - DN/MS
