In May 2008, German open access operator Lokomotion, commonly owned by Brenner Schienentransport AG, Kombiverkehr GmbH, Rail Traction Company and Railion Deutschland AG, ordered six Traxx AC2 electrics for services in Austria and Germany. All six were outshopped in June and July 2009.
Unit 185 661, 662 and 663 have a striking Lokomotion livery, with black and blue stripes, often nicknamed the 'Zebra look'. 185 664 and 665 carry KombiVerkehr logos in red and black.
The last one, 185 666, got a very special paint scheme because of its devilish service number. Lokomotion blue turns into red. Later on this red variety was adpated by Lokomotion's partner RTC from Italy as the standard paint scheme for its locomotives.
