The six units in Veolia colours have been in service since their delivery. They were frequently seen in Germany, used by German departments of the Veolia concern. They were one of the first E 37500s to get their Veolia logos removed after the French operator decided to sell its rail freight transport division to SNCF and Eurotunnel.
On 01.03.2010, nine out of ten grey painted CBRail units were still unemployed, parked outside the Alstom factory in Belfort. Only E 37512 is was used for revenue services at that time, being hired to Europorte Channel (former Europorte 2). In May 2010, unit 37514 was the next one, running for Trenitalia/ECR.
Then it took until November 2010 before more units started moving. Unit 37527 and 37528 were hired to ITL for six months.
