[RU] RZD to order double-deck trains from Transmashholding
IRJ reports about a new order for the Novocherkassk Electric Locomotive Plant (NEVZ) and the Tver Carriage Works (TVZ), both part of Transmashholding. NEVZ will built new single cab electrics, for 3kV DC voltage systems.
In the first design sketch, the cabs of the projected locomotives clearly show some similaritiies with the Alstom PrimaII platform, although Alstom is more on the back ground in this order. The nose section module is maybe identical. We will have to wait until 2014, than serie production should begin.
