From 11. to 14.09.2013, the EXPO 1520 fair was held in Russia. This page gives an overview of all highlights of the different editions, relevant for this website.
The first result of 'Project 11201', commonly initiated by Siemens and Sinara, is this electric twin-unit with a complete new exterior design.
The production of 'Granit' locomotives, 2ES10 series, of Siemens and Sinara is well on its way. After solving the teething problems of these machines they are now succesfully in service for heavy freight trains. The image shows unit 060 in the standard livery of the Russian railways (RZD).

Alstom and its partner Transmashholding for the first time presented the 2ES5 double locomotive dynamically. It is the second sibling of the new platform series of the two manufacturers, after the EP20 intercity locomotive. The 2ES5 will be hauling freight trains.
The previously mentioned EP20 series was also present at EXPO 1520, this time represented by the EP 20-022 in standard RZD livery.
Last but not least, the KZ8A no. 0002 for Kazachstan, a welknown product on this website. Alstom and Transmashholding developed this machine for the railways of Kazachstan (KTZ) but want to sell it to other operators in the 1520 mm/GOS area as well.
